ABOUT ME

Kevin Travis has been an award-winning journalist for over twenty years, mainly as a sports writer/editor. He is married to his beautiful wife, Allison. While owning one dog, Samson, Travis loves every dog he meets.

Born in Ohio, where he graduated from Hudson High School and then Bowling Green State University, Travis moved to North Carolina in 2000. He enjoyed the beaches and the warm weather, often swearing he would never again move to a colder climate.
But, love prevails. When his wife accepted a new job in Missouri, he quickly followed.

His hyperactive dog, Thor, a Golden Retriever, provided him plenty of material, and headaches, for his first book, Home Run from Heaven, a Christian Fiction book.

After a couple years, Travis wrote another Christian Fiction book called Heavenly Touch.
Travis has also written a handful of middle grade books, including a series about a pretty girl and her talking dogs. The books are Skyler's Magical Christmas, Skyler's Magical Year and Saving Santa: Skyler's Magical Christmas.

Travis wrote his first non-fiction piece on an inspiring lady. Gold and Glory: The Lauren Perdue Story, is a book about Olympic gold medalist Lauren Perdue. It details how Perdue overcame a serious back injury that threatened her career to achieve her dream of swimming in the Olympics. Her faith played a huge part in her success.

Travis also enjoys working out, nature, and photography. He has published a handful of photography books..
